What does got you in the pipe five by five mean?

Asked by Stevie Cross

Apparently “in the pipe” is an aviator term for being aimed correctly for a fly-by, or lined up. Makes sense. ” Five by five” is an old radio frequency term that means everything is lining up, reception is good loud and clear. This translates to aviator terminology meaning ‘near perfect‘ or ‘perfect shot.’
