Events Leading up to Chapter 21 of Frankenstein

Using the excuse of a tour of the British Isles to cover his prolonged absence, Victor leaves Geneva with his friend Henry Clerval. Victor ends up in the Orkneys, a remote chain of islands off the coast of Scotland, while Clerval remains in Perth, Scotland.
